"Don't Ask Me This" is a very personal and raw song for me.
In fact, recording it, I had to take so many breaks because I would just start crying.
It's about a sad kind of heartbreak. Being in love with someone but knowing that it's probably not going to work out, because you want totally different things in life.
Knowing about an impending deal-breaker that will ultimately end in goodbye, and there's no way to compromise around it.
Even now, listening to it, I'll get teary.
